Myself and Hans have been talking about this trip since we did the Borneo trip back in 99, we wanted to do something a little closer to me on the scale of the World map. Everyone knows what a good selection of Pubs Ireland has so that was to be the decider.

We brought in Local guy Victor Lucas as the still camera man, this turned out good because me and Hans would have had a problem with the think accents otherwise. Victor shoots a lot of the World cup races so we would be in good hands with him.

The trip was a 6 day riding/ pub crawl, I brought along my World cup winning Santa cruz V10 Downhill bike and my Santa Cruz Nomad as an all rounder. Hans had his fleet of GT bikes including the idrive 7, idrive 5 and his signature Trials bike. We wanted to bring to you some of the best sights and scenery, oh and don’t forget about the pubs of Ireland.

Dirt Magazine

Well people, Sorry this has taken me a few days to get put up (we needed the rest after that weekend) but here it is. Thanks to everyone who turned up this year, you all took part in making it the biggest and the best Battle Royal yet.

We decided to get Trev Scott, Titley and Jonny Groves up 1 month prior to the event to do the basics on the track so it had time to settle, this worked out really well and Thanks to Jonty from Filtermech Plant who supplied us all the machines. This just left us a flat out week prior to the event getting all the tracks sorted, organising all the other elements that are needed to bring together a great event. It didn’t help when it pissed it down on Thurs and Fri morning, Doncaster Moto Park was a mud hole. Lucky for us the wind started blowing and the sun popped out buy midday Friday and Edd Bradley and his crew did an amazing job of grading the tracks to get them dried up. The scene was set, let the battle begin.
